Number of Exits
Every floor area requires at least 2 exits. Article 3.4.2.1.(1).

A single exit may be permitted in limited circumstances for small, low-occupancy buildings. Use the check above.
Exit widths based on OBC Article 3.4.3.2, Exit Width. Values are the same in 2024 and 2012 editions. Widths shown are aggregate (total across all exits). Required width need not be cumulative in an exit stair serving 2 or more floor areas one above the other. Sentence 3.4.3.2.(4).
